This print is called "GIVING
THANKS" and is the fourth and final image in the Dreamwalker series.
In the previous three
paintings in this series, she has learned to give up her old self and
'Surrender" to her Spiritual advisors...
In "Waiting" she
learned patience and the ability to listen for guidance...
And in "Changing
Woman" she embraced all the wonderful changes coming her way...
And now, because she has
learned some of the life lessons put in her path, she has been given the most
wonderful gift of all.....the other part of herself, the part she had been
missing all of her life...her true soul mate...the one who loves her
unconditionally and without reservation, the one who supports her path and shows
her in so very many ways how much she is loved.
With just a hint of a smile
she raises her arms to her Creator to give thanks for all the blessings she has
been given and for the opportunity to share complete love.
I offer this image to you in
the hope that you will always know how precious love is and that you will
cherish it and give thanks daily for all the people in your life to which you
can truly say "I love you".

ARTIST STATEMENT (Beverly Anne)
The process of painting for an artist differs from person
to person. For me, the process begins as an inspiration, a yearning, a desire to
"create" that will not leave until I begin....
Sometimes all I receive is the name of the painting and
then, as the actual process of water, paint or ink is begun, the image begins to
take shape....Since I am not capable of performing this task myself, I listen to
those small voices that say......"put a feather here, add a bird there, do
this or do that"....
The emotion necessary for each painting is also given to
me...the colors are chosen...and the results are totally out of my
control. When I "let go" and allows this to happen, without
adding the 'me' to the painting, then I am excited and amazed because, once
again, I have allowed my Spirit to create.
I truly believe the following quotes by Frederick Franck in
"The Zen of Seeing and Drawing"...
"the good works I do are hardly mine"
"there is no split between a man's being, his art and
what one might call his religion"
"ANY work of art motivated or tainted by the slightest
consideration of competitiveness, money or sensation is automatically devoid of
ZEN"
I Believe that ZEN is the SPIRIT at work....Zen is allowing
the Spirit to assist in letting go of the 'me' and letting the soul do what it
was meant to do.
Zen is doing "what makes your heart sing".
I offer my work to you as a sharing of my spirit.
