Death Valley/Wingate Pass Pendant
This lovely, contemporary piece of jewelry was created by David using a 26 carat cabochon of Death Valley/Wingate Pass set in American Sterling Silver and Gallery bezel. He has stamped the back of the pendant with his 'hallmarks'.
This pendant comes with a small jewelry polishing cloth and a Certificate of Authenticity for the various stones.

******************************************************************
Death Valley is a very RARE and COLLECTABLE material. Any rough material we have been able to find on the market is 'old stock', as the area of collecting was closed to the public in the 1960's. The collection site is now owned by the Federal Government and is currently the China Lake Naval Training Center.
The background matrix of Death Valley is usually a deep autumn red color mixed with some browns, blacks, whites and sometimes, although not often, Death Valley will have a clear Agate section. This material is known for having some surface pits that do not detract from the beauty of the stone nor compromise its structural integrity. It is truly a beautiful stone that often displays bursts of flowers and should be considered one of the rarest collectable gemstones available.
Important Information: Many gemstones are porous and will absorb water after a short period of time. Jewelry items should not be worn while swimming, bathing or showering as the final polish will begin to dull.
