Mexican, Nacazari Turquoise cab
SKU: 2545_1020
NACAZARI TURQUOISE
Nacazari Turquoise is a relatively
new find on the turquoise market. Nacazari is located near Sonora, Mexico and
is known for its copper mining......hence the name "Nacazari".
As you might already know, most turquoise rough
material is extremely soft and must be stabilized before it can be cut into
cabochons. The stabilization process involves an injection of epoxy resin
under pressure and it is not a process that we do, but something that happens
before the turquoise is ever brought to the market for purchase.
The rough material for this cab has been
stabilized, but NOT color enhanced. The bright blue/green color
is natural and extremely beautiful with its little specks of pyrite.
This new Mexican Turquoise with its
'Robins Egg Blue' color is a great North American alternative to Chinese
Turquoise which is so prevalent today, due to most of the US Turquoise mines
being either closed or depleted.

This lovely Nacazari
Turquoise cabochon is an almost round shape that would be suitable for setting
in any orientation of your choice.
This pit and
fracture free cab has a nice high dome and an abundance of that sparkling
pyrite.
All
of our cabs are polished on the back unless otherwise stated above.
